Leadership During the Russian Revolution
Vladimir Lenin (Below, Top, Left) - He was the founder of the Russian Communist party, leader of the Bolshevik Revolution from 1917-1924 and architect and first head of the Soviet State from 1922-1924. He also was one of the fathers of communism. He launched a nearly non-violent attack on Duma's government.
Leon Trotsky (Below, Top, Right) - He was an architect of the red army, and was a massive part of the army in the revolution. He was expelled from the communist party by Stalin, who did not want him around for personal benefits. He was later deported from Russia and killed in his home in Mexico.
Joseph Stalin (Below, Bottom) - He was the dictator of Soviet Socialist union. He was elected to the Bolshevik committee after the revolution but did not contribute to the Revolution in 1917. He came to power when Lenin retired and after Trotsky was expelled from the party. He ruled by terror which had many people die during his brutal reign from 1929-1953.
Karl Marx - Lived between the years of 1818-1883, he always strongly criticized political establishments. He became a journalist after he went to the university of Bonn and was a journalist for the rest of his life. Unfortunately some of his drawings got him expelled from some cities. He was a massive part in laying down the groundwork for the Russian revolution. He also wrote "The Communist Manifesto," which was a compilation of his thoughts on communism and his criticism of capitalism.
